Stuck- audiobook

Think about a time you lost something important to you.
How did you feel?  Where did you look for it?  How did you look for it/what did you
use to find it?  Did you end up finding it, if so, where was it hidden?

Make sure your sentences tell the who, what, when, where, why, and how (Strech that sentence!) as well as using the “I’m Done!” checklist like we have in the classroom.

Start to use a kitchen timer or this online timer like we use in class. Kids know and are able to, independently work for 20
minutes of time without an adult helping them.

Must Do Activities & May Do Activities

Today is the day you are heading over to school to get work for your child...you will be getting an iPad (with charging cord and charging block), another/additional writing journal, a blank journal, and more Fix-It Up mini checkup sheets.  Pick up is from 8:00-3:00 at Etude; breakfast/lunch (which is free) is also from 8:00-11:00 at the cafeteria.  Please read the email from Susan which should be coming out with more details.

Morning Meeting Check-in with your child
Have your child go on Seesaw and tell me how they are feeling today about their weekend!

Yoga (optional, but it is good for you and the kids!)

Your main task, which could be ugly, is to ensure that you can log into all of the
apps on the iPad which you are picking up today.  I will email you a separate
attachment with the apps and directions on how to check on them.  Please be
patient if it isn’t working.

Mindful Hiking

29+ Ideas quotes poetry nature john muir #quotes
Life has NOT gone as planned.  I never intended to be a virtual teacher, homeschool my teens, nor have a spouse working at home with me. Four people working virtually from the same home are not necessarily enjoyable or recommended. With that said, I am beyond grateful that both my spouse and I have the privileges of working from home and we still have jobs, both of my children have amazing teacher support from their schools, and I have lovely kids and families whom I am connecting with daily.  #thankful

I have been making it a priority for me to get outside every single day and just be alone and in nature.  It is amazing what that does for the body, mind, and soul. As I was creating my math lesson video on Friday, I was also capturing images that represented thoughts as a teacher and mother that keep scrolling through my mind during this time of change, uncertainty, and unknown.  I have no answers, just observations.

Missing you all... here's a note from me.

would you do with your pet?  Where would it sleep? What would you feed it?
What would you name it? Why would that animal be the best pet ever?

Make sure your sentences tell the who, what, when, where, why, and how

Your job is to go on a “bear hunt” to look for shapes in nature.  I went to the
beach to find the items but you don’t have to venture that far out if you don’t
want to.

The shape video is your math lesson for the day!  Have fun… math is not due until Sunday night!!!  Send a picture of your “finds” and I will put them on the blog.

Here is a shape reference sheet for you and your families.

Engineering Challenge- just for optional fun

Watch the video to see what the challenge entails.  If you do it, successfully or
unsuccessfully, send pictures, please!!! :)  Seesaw, email, or Remind all work.
As you submit pictures, I will upload them onto the Seesaw Blog right away.
